Questions and answers

Short answers to the questions people ask most often, each with a link to the page that explains more.
Using the app
How do I switch to dark mode?
Click the moon button at the right of the page header. Click the sun to go back to light. The choice is kept in your browser. See Light or dark.
How do I share a filtered list or a single element?
Copy the page address and send it. Searches and filters are kept in the address, and so is an open details window. A colleague who opens the link sees the same list or the same element, if they belong to that organization. See Work with lists and windows.
The map and your data
Why can't I delete this application, program or server?
UrbaHive refuses to delete an element that something else still uses. Delete the flows of an application before the application; move or delete the applications of a program or a server before the program or the server. Only Owners and Editors can delete. See Deleting: what blocks what.
Why is a button greyed out?
Your role does not allow that action in this organization. Hover the button: it says "You do not have permission to perform this action". Ask an Owner if you need more rights. See Roles and permissions.
Why did my map arrangement go back to the automatic layout, and why doesn't my colleague see it?
The positions and sizes you set on the map are saved in your browser only. Another browser, another computer, a colleague, or cleared browser data shows the automatic layout. See Explore the map.
I drew a line between two boxes but no flow appeared.
Drawing on the map does not create a flow, and the line disappears when you reload the page. Create flows in IT Architecture › Flows with Add Flow. See Describe data flows.
Can I import an Excel file?
No. Import is still in development, and Excel and CSV files are not supported. Owners can export the organization's data as JSON or ArchiMate. See Export your data.
Why isn't the latest DAT version the one we use?
The "Latest Version" column shows the version with the most recent date, not the approved one. Each application points to the exact version it follows, and the status of each version tells which one is approved. See Architecture documents (DAT).
Processes and optimization
Where is Impact Analysis in the menu?
It has no menu entry. Click the lightning button Impact analysis on a row of the process catalog, Capabilities, Applications, Servers, Programs or the Infrastructure typology. See Impact analysis.
Can I export a process as an image?
No, as a PDF only: Export PDF in the editor makes one A4 landscape page of the current view. See Readings, swimlanes and PDF export.
Does Value added change the score?
No. Value-added, Non value-added and Control are labels for your own analysis. The score uses the execution mode, the applications, the volume, the wait times and the RACI. See Understand the optimization score.
Why does the score say "High opportunity" for a good process?
The score measures how much there is to gain, not how good the process is. A busy, manual process spread over many tools scores high even when it runs well: it is a good candidate for automation. See Understand the optimization score.
People and access
Why can't I invite anyone?
Two possible reasons. Only Owners can invite. And on the Free plan, the organization has one seat, taken by its Owner: upgrade the plan first. See Invite people.
The invitation link has expired. What now?
The link in the e-mail works for one hour, but the invitation stays open for 7 days. On the hosted service, open the link anyway: you are offered a new sign-in code. Otherwise, ask the person who invited you to send it again. See What the invited person sees.
Can I resend an invitation?
There is no resend button. In the Invitations tab, delete the invitation, then invite the person again. See Invite people.
Can I upload a logo?
No. In Organization Settings › Configuration, an Owner pastes the web address of an image in Logo URL. See Organizations.
How do I hand over ownership?
Make someone else Owner with Edit user. An organization can have several Owners. The new Owner can then change your role, or you can leave. See Change the role of a member.
Can I leave an organization I own?
Yes, if another Owner remains. The only Owner cannot leave until they promote someone else. See Organizations.
The AI assistant
Can the assistant delete my data?
No. It can read, create and change data within your rights, but it cannot delete anything. The only exception is a custom field definition, for an Owner, after a confirmation. See Permissions, tokens and safety.
Does Claude see my other organizations?
No. A token gives access to one organization only. To work in another one, create another token. See Permissions, tokens and safety.
